IMPACT Magazine

Tunisha Brown, owner IMPACT Magazine

Some people build businesses. Others build platforms. Tunisha Brown didn’t set out to make a magazine. She set out to make space for stories that didn’t have one.

In 2007, she launched IMPACT Magazine with a simple goal: highlight excellence that wasn’t getting the recognition it deserved. No investors. No playbook. Just conviction, consistency, and her own voice on the page. That voice resonated. Eighteen years later, IMPACT has become a place where culture shapers, creators, and changemakers get the spotlight they earn.

This year’s anniversary issue is a perfect snapshot of how far things have come. NFL VP Troy Vincent and Peabody Award winner Rodney Barnes graced the cover, then joined Tunisha at her Men of IMPACT Gala — an event dedicated to honoring leaders who put their values to work.

And the platform keeps expanding. Her podcast web series, In The Moment With Tunisha, was recently selected for screening at the Essence Film Festival — one of the country’s largest cultural gatherings. It’s another sign that IMPACT was never just a magazine. It’s a movement. Built from the ground up with purpose, resilience, and the belief that storytelling can shift the world.
